"We will no longer reimburse Doliprane": the government wants to discreetly double medical deductibles

In the highly uncertain political climate, the Health Insurance Agency, approached by Prime Minister François Bayrou, is due to rule on Thursday, September 4, on three draft decrees aimed at doubling the remaining patient costs on medical deductibles. Under these conditions, the UNSA and the CGT, unions that sit on the board of directors, are protesting and calling for a postponement, as the government could fall as early as Monday.
Because if adopted, these draft decrees, which RMC was able to consult, will have very concrete consequences for patients: 2 euros remaining to be paid for each box of medication, 4 euros for a consultation with the general practitioner and 16 euros for medical transport.
"This means that tomorrow, we will no longer reimburse you for Doliprane because it is below 2 euros," warned Frédérique Galliat, national secretary of the UNSA in charge of health, on RMC Story this Thursday.
"The government is attacking the weakest, the sick. And we don't choose to be sick," Dominique Corona of the same union, who sits on the Health Insurance Board of Directors where these measures will be examined, added to RMC .
"We're sneaking through decrees in August when everyone's on vacation," continues Frédérique Galliat. "There are deadlines to meet when the government submits these decrees, and all parties have requested a postponement because we're not dealing with trivial issues."
"These elements intervene strangely, in an emergency, when there is an unprecedented political crisis. The government pushes through, Bayrou says we can talk, but in reality, we can't," she adds.

Because the Board of Directors' opinion is only advisory: "It's scandalous, and that's why we're calling for this meeting to be postponed because there's a problem with debate and democracy," continues Frédérique Gaillet.
The decrees could come into force even while the government is in the hot seat, something Dominique Corona does not understand: "We are asking the government to withdraw these decrees and are waiting for political clarification and the presentation of a complete social security budget.
Asked by RMC what would happen to these decrees, the Ministry of Health did not respond.
